Now put yourselves in my shoes and try to understand my frustration. Now please guys, talk to me in future. Fly as much as you like even through FAAP circut. Expose my students to traffic. But do it in an orderly way and according to the rules.
Could not agree more with Dale.
Frequency congestion will always be a problem. This is a phenomena occuring at every major airport worldwide. The only way to deal with frequency congestion is sticking to standard RT procedures, and SOP's regarding overflying and joining airfields.

Possibly we should draw up SOP's when flying in a gaggle to alleviate the problems that have occured in the past. Oh, and by the way, SOP's only work if there is discipline in adhereing to them.

Hi All

I have followed this thread with interest as i have been at a lot of Airshows etc where we are using a fully licensed ( e.g. Wonderboom) and I can understand the stress related to sending a student solo and i have had a similar situtation where a student was sent solo when we had a bunch of aircraft arriving just at that time. - Basically i informed the people / aircraft approaching that there was a student on his first solo and that we needed the freq for a bit - the guys all went silent and basically held their positions till i called and gave the all clear. This could have been handled so differently had just a little patience and tempers not flared. I am not picking a side just remember you will never be able to forsee certain circumastances so in future we all need to remember when flying anywhere at anytime we can come across this sorta situation, if we all think and comply with the rules and or requests then we should not have a problem again.

Just my $1 Zim.
