Once upon a time there was a company who had a product which almost dominated the market, let's call it AEscom. AEscom was in the business of supplying power to the peoMPLes. The president of this company was having a ball, not only was he making bucketsfull of Zim dollars, he also happened to be the managing director of the overseeing company, lets call it the PublicProtectorSASA (PPSASA).
As is with banana republics the Ministry of CAAk decided that they wanted more control over the peoMPLes at a future date, lets say 1 January 2008. The press and internet swarmed with doomsday scenarios, but the peopMPLes were happily relying on the PublicProtectorSASA to look after their interests.
The minister of AEscom sat with a dilemma, one in which ethics was at loggerheads with shrewd business principles. As the managing director of PPSASA he knew he should fight the CAAk, but as the presindent of AEscom he knew when the CAAk hits the fan, he will be servicing all those powerplants and making more Zim dollars.
So at last 2008 arrived, and the peoMPLes found themselves without power. Instead of swamping AEscom with orders for new powerplants and servicing their redundant powerplants, the peoMPLes decided to look at different sources of power.
Amid the outroar AEscom realised that it had misjudged the peoMPLes, and soon the president of AEscom donned his PuplicProtectorSASA jacket and entered into belated negotiations with CAAk.
Will heads roll? Will the peoMPLes flock in droves to other powerplants? Will the peoMPLes use illegal candles?
