So now the question comes up again why do people not report minor accidents, because the KGB, sorry, CAA will nail you.

Get yourself good 3rd party insurance and disability/accident insurance. There is only so much you can do. And yeah, nobody aims to have an accident. These things happen and CAA is not making flying safer, they are actually doing the opposite.

I checked with my insurer and I'm covered even if Myself or the trike is not certified.

Just confirm with them that they will insure you if you are not licenced or the aircraft is unairworthy.

Big difference between being certified and non type certified. Quite honestly, I dont think your insurer understood your question.

If you do believe they understood it correctly please post details where we can get such insurance - I would love an insurer that is prepared to cover me even if I knowingly break the law.
