some thing I can't tell

Postby vliegvark » Tue Apr 24, 2007 2:15 pm

It is a very strong trike but the key leis in the shocks the plane has got it's a gas and oil system like big plane have so the strain onthe airframe is a lot less. (and about the CAA don't ask and I will not have to kill you)HA HA HA
all this I will write in Tech page but it's made of 304 stainless and the bolt on's are ally and the engine mount is 4130 all the welding is done by the best aircraft welder in the world there may be as good but not better (Gerri)
the main pylon was tested to 3300kg it may deform at 2700kg and it has a 3300kg cable inside ( all this was done because I have to sit in the plane and not the guy that stamps my papers)
So I will start writing next week look for the vliegvark built buy kakserious preformance

about the plans

Postby vliegvark » Tue Apr 24, 2007 5:48 pm

Sorry gut every thing is on Cad files but I am sorry no luck for plans or built planes lets get that out of the way but one can buy a DTA and my engine mount fits on the frame that I will make with love then you can have the same but it still cost a pritty penny the DTA is built the same just the Pylon is ally
the reason for not selling them is because I don't have any degree or training I just have a nack for building thing out of metal others can do it with wood I am a metal (mental) person

Well done Vliegvark (Got to love that name :D )

I am sure you are going to have stacks of fun with her.

I am real interested in your R1200 conversion, I would love more info like gearbox/ignition/prop mount.

I have done a lot of km's on the R1150/R1200 BM's and I trust them a lot more that any Rattex (OK flak suite ON  ) I think if you can sort out the gearbox/prop mount it will be a fantastic power plant. Would love one on my Rans S12 !

Fly safe,
Regards,
Rudi
