I have just read an article written by a well known doctor who flies woer woer`s. He explained that he had a, if I remember correctly, a short blackout whilst driving his car subsequently went to the doctor ……….etc etc. He then goes on to say that they couldn’t find anything concrete but there was a small spot on the MR that they couldn’t explain and he therefore decided to end his solo flying career. A very honorable thing to do :D . Then a couple of minutes later something dawned on me…

.I can not remember of any one time that I could hurt anybody but myself should something go wrong at any specific instant. I’m sure there must have been but the point is that 99% of the time I would fall or crash and burn in someone’s veld should something go wrong. We are not supposed to fly over build up areas anyway
Now driving in my motorcar or on my bike it is a different story

Nearly 99% of the time I’m in traffic amongst other people and vehicles.

The chances of hurting someone else are MUCH greater as far as I can work out or, am I wrong

Imagine getting a black out on the highway doing 120kmh between other traffic and you make a 90degree left hand turn
I'm not talking about you Mr. Professional pilot I'm talking about the lot of us, also referred to as monkeys by certain people

, microlight pilots and the average recreational pilot. I just wonder if the gent will do the honorable thing and give up solo driving as well
maybe they will make a recreational drivers license
