Another day at the office....

Postby Fairy Flycatcher » Fri Dec 01, 2006 11:08 am

A couple of weeks ago, I flew with Paul Ash, who took this photo

There are three crows at the La Mercy beachfront, which always come and fly at wing-tip. Very often they are just above your wing, and sometimes they touch the wing with their tallons. As I almost never have my camera with me, and piloting the trike while slowly at 30' above the beach and taking photos at the same time is probably not a good idea  , I asked Paul to take this one for memories. He did not get the bird on the wing-tip, but at least I can share a part of it.

Today so far has been great as well. Whales and calves, whale-sharks, dolphins, rays... happy customers :D

Reminds me of an incident two years ago, flying from FAVV to Alldays, Limpop.
A Cape Vulture flew off my wing tip for about twenty minutes.
I was amazed, I was flying at 60mph and this vulture stayed with me, not moving a muscle. An experience of note.

Could kick myself for not having a camera with me.
