Three-axis question

Postby rooikat » Fri Dec 01, 2006 11:54 am

Hi,

Are there any examples of Quicksilver or Golden Circle T-Bird three-axis ultralights flying in SA?

And if not, say one was to import one of these, what does the CAA red tape involve?

Thanks in advance

Must admit I am with D on that one, but some swear by them. I have never seen one fly, but have seen a couple on ground and they look very iffy    .

Now ol Divvie de Villiers (our very own famous Rugby legend) based here at Franshoek will no doubt disagree vigarously about this and believe me u dont wanna mess with him cause he is one big mutha .. he's been flying his Quick for many moons now and loves it.. as i said he is quite a large lad and fills that machine up, but I have seen him in dodgy weather pottering about the place that would have most guys with the latest toys stuck frimly on the ground. Same goes for Bessie who still loves his ol quick and just bought another one - so dont go writing them off just yet

Havnt seen a blunderturd in these parts for a few years now

You thinking of Dawie de Villiers

You thinking of Dawie de Villiers [scrumhalf and captain]- Junkie is showing De Villiers Visser [lock] - a large dude who excelled himself on that All Black tour in the 1980's.

You want to see some of these kites?

Oh by the way Demon I am with you on this one allthough you are a bit byast towards the trike scene.

Come and pay a visit to Rhino there must be 10 of these things just lying and rotting away in the hangers, if only these guys would still fly then we can also have a social life there.

Ok so dont shoot me fix them and be a part of it.
The last time I saw a guy pull one of those out of the hanger we collected him in the veld and his plane.

-xX -xX Nope, De Villiers Visser was considered the smallest of all the forwards :P but still was a huge bloke, once shook his hand, came up right to my elbow
