I am very excited with this technology, as for many years I have been dreaming of electrical motors for aircraft. In the hopefully not too distant future we may see electrical motors with Rotax 912 performance with 5 hours endurance - JP, good luck with your venture and please keep us updated. Are you guys looking at doing a road bike as well?

Solar wings

Postby Stealth » Thu Dec 07, 2006 1:09 pm

Solar panel wings could work on a motorised glider, but with the amount of power needed to drive a microlight it won't help much.

I liked the pedal power joke

I know a few of you will have a good chuckle if I see my ring, but the chuckle will be on me if it works. I'm sure it will work for a solo ride.

Keep the jokes and advice coming it in guys

Nobody will chuckle if you “see your ring”

Perhaps you want to start considering the “red tape” involved in a project like this. “Me thinks” that the amount of red tape involved, if edible, would feed the whole of KwaMashu & Mamalodi.
