Also can't remember the specific of the airliners like the Boeings and Airbusses, but of the more exciting other than microlights was an alouette, herculees C130 where I sat in the cockpit while pilot practiced touch and goes (felt though), and an Cessna Citation (looks like a learjet) a few times doing medevacs into Afreka.
Never been in a blik such as a 172 or like it

The one interesting aircraft apart from the usual Airbus, Boeing, MD, De-Havilland, Fokker, etc. used by airlines around the world was the Russian Mi-8 helicopter that transported the Pope on his visit in Hungary in 1991. The 'throne' was still in the aircraft and the Holy Spirit kept it in the air. (Just about - there was a fair bit of thermal activity on the day I flew and it was like a roller-coaser ride.)
Also flew in Tu-134 and Tu-154 passenger liners back in the 1980's, courtesy of Aeroflot and Malev Hungarian Airlines as self loading cargo ... For some reason the cabin always reeked of jet-fuel and Aeroflot's attempts to create a breathable atmosphere by releasing copious amounts of locally made perfumes resulted in lots of white/green faces ...
Oh, and crawled through the Shackleton, but only on the ground while in the hangar at Ysterplaat. Would love to be on board in flight, though.
