Thanks guys. Would love to feel it out with the little wheeletjie at the back, but the Oom wants it with a training wheel at the front. Give the Oom what he wants, otherwise he will gooi a tantrum, and toss all his toys out of his cot...... :D
This thing will make an awesome tailwheel aerie!! It seems like the guys are finally starting to realize that the BB is really something to seriously consider. Unfortunately, initially a couple of exstremely sloppily built BB`s hit the flying scene. AND first impressions are lasting impressions. A situation I tried my best to rectify for more than 10 years. We have stripped and rebuilt numerous BB`s here, (AND they were beiing flown), that will turn me gray prematurely. Fortunately the trend has now been passed on, and far better looking and flying examples are now turning up.
We had one here, that was so damn ugly, and draggy, it only flew rteasonably well at full throttle. (912 ul, 80 hosses.) You touched the throttle on this one, and it went DOWN. Fast!!

Why is the explorer different?

Postby Coyote » Fri Nov 10, 2006 3:05 pm

The main difference is the inside space. 2" wider 2" higher, 4" more leg room, the doors are about 6" longer, makes getting in and out a lot easier. The Fus is also a bit longer, and the tail feathers a bit bigger. This aerie is what the BB should have been 10 years ago. Now a definite : GO FOR IT !!
