'flying the falls' Prop Strike Video(do a proper pre flight)

Postby Mark Becker » Sat Nov 04, 2006 2:50 pm

Dear Microlighters, this incident occurred during the filming of 'flying the falls' a very long way away from a prop shop.

It happened during the second flight of the morning when we sometimes don't do a second pre-flight. Our advise (since we learnt the hard way) do a quick walk around before blasting off ....

See if you can count how many prop strikes there actually were?

Take care and fly safe

Hi Mark, best guess would be "shitl@ads" of strikes.....

Just a question: From the video it looks as if one of your mates sees and hears the strike and indicates to you to abort....

Did you feel or hear anything from the drivers seat?

Thanks for sharing, some people would try and keep this type of thing under "wraps" as something like this may affect their ego.......

As has been said before - There is no place for ego's in the sky....

Sad luck mate...... watched the video a couple of times, I cringe each time I hear the strike and can almost feel your wallet auto emptying...

Flying the falls...

Postby ForensicFlyer » Sat Nov 04, 2006 7:03 pm

Mark,

You don't know me, but I specifically ordered and watched your FlyingTheFish DVD...

Before I tell you how I think your prop-strike is terrible, I must tell you that I absolutely envy you guys for the wonderful adventures.

May you return home safely, in order to continue bring us the best video programs I have seen on the "greater adventures" of Microlight flight.

I bow to you all and salute you on your very fantastic and brave efforts.

Now - I think your prop-strike was terrible.
