My first experience

Postby Tinkerbell » Mon Oct 30, 2006 9:26 am

Hi Everyone
I had my first intro flight yesterday. What a rush. Flying has been a dream for me. I will start lessons soon! Any suggestions/tips/etc will be greatly appreciated. :D

Hi Tinkerbell,

welcome to the forum and to flying

It is an absolute rush that very first flight. You can never replace that feeling. Your next rush is going solo and then finally getting your licence. It is a wonderful experience.

Where and what are you flying

Have fun

You think that was a rush - wait till you get hooked on the forum, as my softness says, it's like a drug.

Do yourself a favour, sign up at a flight school, and start learning to fly yourself. As Demon (he's the boss) said, there will be times that you feel you can't land etc etc, but remember, CAN'T in a abbreviation for CAN TRY. All the best, let us know how it goes.

Welcome to the world of us crazy (wo)men and our flying machines. Ooooooooo the first time. Eish! I was living in the Tvl and I was going out with a nice girl with lovely............ Oooooops  wrong story. I was introduced to flying by Zirk du Toit who also became my instructor. We hadn't even leveled out after take off and I had an " I also want one of these funny flying thingy " moments. Get in the sky, it's great. Also great people these creatures that walk upright called pilots. :D
I sometimes get confused............But i'm not sure

Closer to the earth than I would like to be!

Postby Tinkerbell » Thu Nov 02, 2006 9:34 am

Hi Everyone
Thanks for all the messages. My instructor doesn't have a slot for me at the moment and although I would love to get started I can't go anywhere. Probably a good thing with all the rain in Gauteng! Enjoy the day!
