I think we should wait for the official report before we make conclusions. I heard that the pilot had a heart attack on the ground while taxing behind another trike, bumped into it and kept on going at full speed as his foot was on the accellerator. As the bar was still fastened to the post, the aircraft took of.

This makes sence to me. We can not start blaming if we have no idea what we are talking about.
As mentioned in my previous post, I'm not making any conclusions or blaming anybody guys.

There is a standard by which things should be done, and if you don't, it improves your chances of stuff going wrong.......

Hi Smiley

Stress is a huge factor.
I have 250 hours and I can promise you that stress still play a roll. Not just flying stress, but other unrelated stress.
Last Friday I flew from Brakpan , Rhino , Pinedine and then to Summit.
After a hectic 3 weeks of work till 23h00 each night and lots of stress and spending 3 hours on the road to get to Brakpan the following happend.
Halve way through the Pinedine route , I struggled to hear Waterkloof. This added stress made me forget the Freq for spes rules west. This is a freq that I have used quite often at Tedderfield where I was based for 8 months.

The radio problem was my Squalch setting that was too high. In normal circumstance I would have sorted this problem out in seconds.

And Yes I agree with you that display pilots should have a proper rating. That is why I am for Part 62 , to get all this rating etc sorted out.

I don't think so this is a aviation forum where we discuss aircraft, flying and sorry to say crashes.

We can't blame the instructors directly but think that they are a big factor in our flying attitude.

It's been two and a half years since my crash and the report is still not out so please wait for what.
