Re: Spot landing Competition
Hi all,
After considering the details to hold this as an official event, it has been decided that the requirements are far too onerous on all concerned.
We will all still be at the field however.
The coffee will be hot and the braai fires will be lit.
If anyone , of their own free will wants to use our runway to try their hand at landing , they are welcome.
There will be no official competition however.
Looking forward to seeing as many as possible

It is a pity that our sport has come to this I remember the days we did this on a regular basis.gavinwolff wrote:Hi all,

Re: Spot landing Competition
So I flew to Circus airfield this morning for a cup of warm coffee for the cold weather.
I walked in the club house and introduced myself to about 5 guys there. What an unfriendly bunch of people. No one even bothered to chat with me or just ask me where I'm from or to offer a cup of coffee. Hope to NEVER treat people like that when they visit my field.
Will not bother to go there tomorrow.
