As you all may be aware ... MISASA is piggy backing on the EAA Convention being held in Mossel Bay from the 29th April to the 2nd May 2016.
The fly-in takes place on Saturday 30th April 2016.
We were hoping to have the AGM on this date if sufficient attendance is indicated. We do however need some form of indication if this is to be, hence the poll.
Alternatively, depending on the numbers attending, proportional representation from the committee shall be in attendance unless you indicate your wish to discuss certain matters face to face with respective committee members. It is all about cost....
The committee members that shall be in attendance irrelevant of above is :
John Boucher (Chairman)
Thelma Roberts-Boucher (Membership Administration)
Donald Hicks (Vice-Chairman)

Re: MISASA Western Cape Fly-In Mossel Bay 2016
Sorry.... but I cant make this one boys...
I hope you have a cracker and that the Western Cape Pilots will bring the gees!
I think it's great the WCape guys have an opportunity to make a "Showcase" type event of their own grow into something great for the future....and FAMO is a lovely venue having stood on the apron there myself!
I wish you all a successful and fun day flying the MISASA banner.

Re: MISASA Western Cape Fly-In Mossel Bay 2016
My mail to all pilots in KZN, an invitation to join us on a flight to Mossel Bay from the greater Durban area. Mail me and I will forward to you the documents alluded to hereunder.
For those with EasyPlan, this is my work to date. I am absolutely sure that this could have a few mistakes. When completed I will be making 2 separate documents for the two different days and will then make them available for circulation.
Please feel free to criticize the plan with the view to improving accuracy and safety. Of particular concern is my detail on calls, (frequency), as we head into the Mossel Bay area as it gets a little complicated there. I will be getting some local advice to guide us in.
As to the dates etc., I believe we should plan as follows:
• 27th April 2016
o All take off from your respective fields with the intention to meet for coffee on top of Port Saint Johns, (around 09:30 I would imagine).
o From there, we separate the aircraft into “speed slots” and depart Pt st Johns starting with the faster planes ending with the slower.
This will allow spacing when arriving in Wings Park
o Overnight at Wings Park
Bring sleeping bags and inflatable mattresses for sleeping in the hangers
• 28th April 2016
o In time slots, head out from Wings Park for the first stop at Uitenhage, (to leg stretch and refuel)
o Depart Uitenhage for Mossel Bay
Space has been made available at Mossel Bay airfield for sleeping, with toilets and showers.
• 29th April 2016
o Free flying around Mossel Bay
I will be heading for a private strip in Malgas, you are free to join me.
• 30th April 2016
o An open day and the EAA conference at Mossel Bay is enjoyed by all. MISASA members will be treated to a braai and whatever else the local chaps have organized.
• 01st May 2016
o Return trip being the reverse of the above plan.
Comments and discussion are welcome regarding the above plan. As we get closer to the departure time I will need a “show of hands” as to who will be going. This to allow our hosts at both venues, (Wings Park and Mossel Bay), to make arrangements to accommodate us.
So, that is my plan…. Your thoughts please.
Many Thanks,
Donald Hicks,
