My question when will we be informed timeously of the seminars , I get the feeling the powers to be wake up in the morning without consulting MISASA or any other persons and a date is set . When will MISASA come to the party where are the MISASA seminars ???
What do we get for our membership , I see the mag , but no further feedback as to what the committee is up do ???? Alex

Alex, I posted this out of courtesy! The insinuation that we don't do anything is rather uncalled for coming from you knowing all the inner workings and things that happen behind the scenes.

ATO's, instructors and AP's should really visit the RAASA website for Bulletins.

I will briefly address a few items...

MISASA SHOWCASE
This has been addressed on another thread in which you also voiced your dissatisfaction.

MISASA WESTERN CAPE FLY-IN 2016
This event is happening, and will take place at Mossel Bay on the weekend of the 30th April 2016. Does this replace the showcase - NO. Is it an additional event - YES! As you know, events need people to happen. Who will that be? The committee and it's volunteers!

Part 62/68 Examination Review Workshop.
Various complaints were received regarding the examination process. The complaints were forwarded to RAASA, so much so, that finally the realization came that not all was well... We have played an active role in this. The workshops surely the result of our contribution and input?

Project 24
We have 2 committee members directly active in the focus groups of Project 24, namely Rowena Kraidy and Marius Nel. Various calls to industry (like yourself) for contributions has fallen on deaf ears. You are most welcome to become a part of the focus groups and I'll gladly submit a proposal for your attendance.

RA-ILF Recreational Aviation Indistry Liason Forum
Rowena and I represent MISASA. Physical attendance by Rowena at meetings and only in exceptional cases, will I attend. The reason - COST!

I submitted a letter to Neil at RAASA iro the Instructors Seminars and the lack thereof. I had suggested that MISASA take ownership of our members and the seminars and material that gets presented. The idea was to have a Seminar presented in 3 major centers or regions in the country and in principle, this has been agreed to. But this is a work in progress ...

Stop thinking that everything just happens as an after thought. There is a lot happening, various matters at critical stages.

But, here's a challenge - why don't you make yourself available for the committee again?

Oh, I forgot to add...

Will you be attending the workshop?

I know Rowena, Nico, Marius and Mervyn will be ... (all MISASA Committee members)
