Feedback: I filled one with water to see how it works. Just gravity run from hosepipe. It takes 17 liters without it running out the top. To close it, the rubber spout gets foulded in a zig-zag fasion and pushed into the round rubber holder (for lack of a better word), and the four rubber flaps that hold it in, gets tied with strings. This bladder is srong! I stood on it with my 100Kg bod, and even bumped up & down a bit to see what happens....... holds good. Remember, these things were made to be thrown from an aircraft. Then left it in full sun until the watertemp was about 33 degrees C. No prob! vhpy

But, that folding spout leaks! There is no way one can use this for Fuel like that! It leaks about 20 ml in 3 hours without pressure! And it is messy to use. That spout flaps about and the bladder is not easy to hold. Perhaps one can use a strap or something to hang it from one's neck while two hand are needed to climb up the aircraft to refuel a highwing, and two hands are needed to handle the flapping spout! A sight for sore eyes!!

I'll do a mod when I come back from the bush and see if there is a practical way to solve the leak as well as decant problems. Shall keep you posted.

I think you are supposed to roll it up like a "slurpie". Mine does not leak at all.

Decanting is a different story all together

I have a bladder that is simply used for refueling the trike at far out locations. It takes 100L and folds up to fit under my previous trikes (Blade) seat. I use to carry a 25L container behind me to top up the tank between long legs. When having to refuel the 25l container and 68l tank at deserted strips it would save you the trouble of driving to the service station three or four times to refuel everything. Unfold the bladder in the boot of a car or at the back of a bakkie and take 100L back to the trike to refuel the container and plane in one go. Buck Rogers Aviation made it for me a few years ago. Not selling it unfortunately......
