Rare Aircraft-Karibu?

Hi folks, this aircraft has been standing at our airfield (FAKP) for 15 to 20 years. Nobody knows who the owner is. The aircraft has been found abandoned at the airfield . Some people suggest that it has been used for smugling but who knows?. Pilot's from Moz tells me that this is a Karibu. Can anyone confirm this. I hope the pic is clear enough.

I am also looking for sponsors for used tyres. We want to move the aircraft to our hangers and convert it into a clubhouse. Any takers?

Anybody interested in the engines? Would look good on a trike Thanx Arnulf. Are they rare or not?

If you talk about the engines, I don't know. But according to the pics, it appears as if one engine is missing already. The other one will probably be so corroded inside, that it will be quite useless. If it had any value, I am sure somebody would have salvaged it by now, affirmatively or legally.

Look like it skipped the stop.

Now if I understand it correct, as it is not falling in the microlight class it seems like the hevies want to do a conversian on it to make it a hanging out place for 26 paratroopers.

We had someone look at the engines and they are repairable. The one engine and prop is stored at the customs hanger on the field. As to the stop sign, it is parked next to the N4 in the old entrance to the field. Definately catches the eye.

Place an ad in the local classifieds

" If the owner of Reg .... does not collect his crap and pay outstanding rent of R2 000.00 p/ month for the last 20 years, we will annex to defray accumulated costs and embarresment".

No need for wheels, use one of those massive sugar 'stropers' to drag to the clubhouse and voila; it's a gift from above.

All legal work has been done. Aircraft now belongs to airfield owners.
