A friend of mine saw the incident and took the photos. The "pilot" gapped it before they could talk to him. They have been trying to find the chap and have arranged to take him for a flip when they find him. This incident took place a few months ago and I have not heard if they have been successful in getting hold of the chap. I am seeing my friend who took the pics, on the weekend and will hear what their progress is.
Will let you guys know if /when the guy gets found.

OK, seems we might be able to trace him. Let's get him a job in aviation. Let's call him Waldie for now. Waar is Willie. Where is Waldo.

A clue might be to ask the Sabie Star Challets if they know Waldie. (the initial report re "the bamboo thicket at Sabie Star"). Anyone in Sabie soon, or I can call them and try.

Stan, thanks for trying through Iaan. Dankie Pit Bull, gaan more dit ook probeer, maar weet nie of Sabie sy eie radio stasie het nie.
Thanks guys !

Waar is Waldie ...... ? (Maybe a next Leonardo in the making)

Ek hoor jou Louis, jou avatar lyk ook soos n Da Vinci skepping. By the way, wie het dit ontwerp?

But still on a serious note gents, please help us find this guy. We need to trace him and offer him a chance in aviation. I PM'd Stan, the original poster, but still no reply.

:?: :?: :?: I want this guy !
Roel dit was 'n reeks fotos en die ontwerp se naam was "Twin engine Schweinkel" Ek weet nie wie dit ontwerp het nie.

I spoke to Iaan on the weekend and he said that his labour team are still trying to find the guy. A lot of them live in the township adjacent to the launch site so there is still some hope of finding him. Iaan arranged with a pilot in Sabie to take him for a flip when they manage to locate him. We'll see what happens.
