Hi guys
I have just done a project with a very well known sporting company that produces sport events for television. Supersport channels etc.
I spoke to the chairman of this company and told him about us and our flying machines.
Got a meeting with him in two weeks time again to take this further.
He is VERY excited to take microlighting to Television. We can either start with something like the Kalahari Bash, or we can create a new event.
His only condition is that there must be MICROLIGHTS, and lots of them. Not only five or ten. He wants to see many many of them.
If they come to the party they will bring big sponsors in as well, which will benefit us in various ways, for example smaller entry fees etc.
We will have to stage competion format. Maybe a race, spot landing competions etc etc.
What I need from you guys is:
1. interest in something like this (LET me know! If I dont hear anything I will assume there is no interest)
2. If ANYBODY can put in contact with the KALAHARI BASH organizers, I will appreciate!!!
3. ANY input from you guys will be looked at and considered. It will be most welcome.
I will do the work on this, but I need your help and comments. I think it will be GREAT to see all this on supersport! And it can become a yearly event too.
Regards

Microlights on TV !!!
ZU-GFC COBRA
Bacchus it would be nice to devide the country into 3 or 4 areas as you know distance is a problem.
The western cape boys can do one then up in the Transvaal we do another then border and Debban.
That way they get exposure 4 times and the numbers will be good.
You can push on my button for Gauteng or TVL.
Good one bru go for it, just a suggestion do your own organising then no one can cancel it and watch the weather, most important, it can be a real shit.
