Must say, really nice seeing a pilot like Boet handling his aerrie to perfection.

Comes back to comparing STOL aerries- its the pilot in command who determines the efficiancy of the plane. This oke will give you a run for your money.

Assuming the "bang" part means performance then the Pioneer 300 as it's one of the quickest and also aerobatic.

Rotax is a damn good engine. You know it. The only thing wrong with it, is the price.

So is the lycoming, continental, Jabi, UL, Revmaster, etc etc ---

Rotax is simply - a rip off - the local guys at aviation engines charge more than anyone else in the world for the same parts, i imported my own parts from abroad and landed them here for more than 30% less than aviation engines charges, and the response from the indian guy at aviation engines was simple - "oh well" -- lovely.... ## ##

I have over 400 hours logged sitting behind a Rotax. Price does not come into the factor when reliability is a major concern. I have flown other aircraft with different motors, and have had a few scares, Rotax for me is the only option in an LSA aircraft
As in all businesses, profit is not a swear word, and is acceptable, I don't think 30% is a major rip off.

I have other aircraft with different engines in them, including a continental - which is as reliable as the sun coming up in the morning and setting at night - point is Rotax is NOT the only reliable engine in the world, as listed above. profit is most certainly NOT a dirty word - BUT aviation engines are a RIP OFF!! I'm happy to go into specifics to prove the point - but a carb rubber adapter for a 912 sells for R1400.00 incl Vat at Aviation engines -- i LANDED these after duties and VAT from the USA (SAME ROTAX ORIGINAL PART) for R712.00 -- now where is your 30%??

Its not my 30%, its your 30%, read your earlier post, also read my post again, never said Rotax is the only reliable motor, but most certainly my choice for an LSA .
I don't have a problem for what I get charged for Rotax parts.

Just to be clear here, I have absolutely no affiliation with this company or Rotax,

Publicly listing the issues with aviation engines is what you would expect them to react to and focus on customers requirements.
