I fly a Hatz Bi-plane, Bushbaby, Kitfox, C182 and Trike.
The trike is for fun Game viewing and red horizon flying. The Bushbaby and Kitfox for economical, bush and general flying and the C182 is for family transport. The Bi-plane transform my body and soul, sets me free with mild aerobatics into a world in an other Dimension.

Hi Arnulf,
I got great service out of my Aquilla and I really enjoyed flying it but most of the guys at the airfield where I hanger fly Raptors and they would leave me in the dust everytime we went on a fly away (they easily cruise at 50+ mph with hands off the bar. I was lucky to get 50 mph with the bar pulled in.
Secondly, I had a 503 motor and wanted to upgrade to a 582, and along with my decision to keep on flying trikes I decided that instead of an upgrade I would buy something new that would last me until I couldn't fly anymore - hopefully a very long time.
Thirdly, the Raptor has additional options for disc brakes on the rear wheels, an 85 l expidition tank and Tundra tyres (I like the big fat takkies). I have opted for the full package.
And lastly because I think they are really strong and robust looking (not that the Aquilla is not strong as well - the Raptor just has the looks that appeal to me).
At the end of the day it comes down to personal choice. As I said I had a great time flying my Aquilla, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the product and I came through some pretty hairy situations with it and it never left me in the lurch, but I guess its time to move on.
Eeish, this is almost as difficult as having to motivate the change to my wife!!!!
Cheers.
