Well, we currently have only 2 engines for airplanes (helicopters excluded), already mentioned above. Both tested for years and continually evolving.Turbo wrote:..but at the end of the day think about it from a business point of view - a company would not invest more and more money into developing additional engines (verner is now on 6 kinds of engines running, in the market) when you not selling the first one.
We had the time, skills and passion for radial series so we have begun developing. But that doesn't affect our boxer series - for example we've added oil cyclones, different propellers, injected versions, the list goes on.
However to recommend something, you would have to be more specific. We have customers with JCV 360 (35hp) as well as with VM 133MK (83hp) on their trikes.
You can choose Rotax or BMW, it's a very legitimate decision. We can't compete with amount of Rotax service points and BMW... makes great cars... uhm.. but I believe we prevail in power/weight and power/price ratios.
As you might not believe our 'lab tests' on our dynamo, in attachment is 133MK vs 912 comparison from pilot in Poland. Our curve is the one that climbs up to the top. And mind the date - decade of evolution since then.
As there are plenty things to consider, picking the right engine isn't easy. And I hope you'll choose the right one, even if it isn't ours, and be satisfied.
Have a great day and fly safely!
