Postby John Boucher » Tue Dec 24, 2013 9:38 pm

Greetings all... please find the November / December 2013 MISASA Newsletter. Various reasons for the delay and of which I am nowhere closer in finding a cost effective solution. I'll try however e-mailing and see what transpires!

A Merry Christmas to you all and a Prosperous New Year.... BE SAFE!

Lots of good cheer.... HO HO HO HO (^^)

Thank you Kloot... I must admit that Bundy had done the content sometime ago.... I only really had time on my hands now to complete the final product.

With the website hacked yet again, I had to find alternatives to send the bulk newsletter and possibly change the format to an electronic version ie SENDBLASTER. Currently I am limited to 100 a day and need to purchase the full license to be able to send unlimited mails. This will be the cherry on the top because then I can reach everyone at a push of a button. Too many e-mail service providers are blocking our originating smtp and quite frankly have become gatvol to micromanage bounced e-mails (apart from those persons whose boxes are full, non existent or the couple of individuals that don't want to receive)

January sees us putting all our efforts into finalizing Tedderfield 2014... lots of hard work lies ahead!!!

Everyone have a fantastic New Year.... (^^)

John, try a open source product called phplist. Manages the bounces for you too, and has the unsubscribe option which is required by many of the service providers to fit in with their Acceptable Usage Policies (AUP) for bulk mailings. We use it on our server and get around 12 000 newsletters out quite effortlessly in a few hours.
