At my age, comfort beats sex appeal every time
I purchased my trike, without the forethought of getting advice from the wider microlighting community, whilst still doing my training some 11 years ago. At the time it suited my needs and 11 years later I am still very happy with it, not the fastest - that's why I bought a trike, for time in the air, not to get there first

. Does not have the most sex appeal, there are other toys you can buy for that

, so in essence, the simple trike I bought second hand all those years ago, and 700 hours and one timex engine later, I still look forward to every flight in her.
A couple of things to consider -
- What are your needs in terms of pax, Aquilla is very comfortable for both pilot and pax
- Although spares may be available for most / all trike available in the country, what is the delivery time, and what effect does exchange rate and delivery charges have on the landed price, and yes, there will come a time when you need to buy spares....
- How accessible are the manufacturers - no disrespect to the local agents of imported trikes, but sometime you want the information from the "horses mouth"
- All things being equal, I support local.
