So nice not to have to get up early for work. I arrived at the airfield at about 8h30 and took off for the 100 mile trip at about 09h20.Passed my condolences to the poor bastards still in traffic on the way to work. Over fourways, low level runway inspection at Eagle creek with a chat to Flo on the radio. Also did an inspection at Kroon but nobody home.
Smooth air, put the music on, set the hand throttle and settled in for a relaxing ride.
Decided to surprise Tribal Croc with a visit and coffee but they were not home.
Landed at Zebula. Took the hooligans who were in-between hangovers for lunch followed by some flips around the place.Departed Zebula at about 14h30. Stopped at Mabalingwe to top up some fuel and then headed for the croc farm.
This time TC was home and stopped in for a little visit and a coolie. Was sitting at his spot when the familiar sound of a 912 caught our ears. Ratman who was also off for the day had decided to get a flight in and found my car in the hanger. He put 2 and 2 together, got 5 and headed out towards Zebula.
Happy for the company as my music had gone flat, we departed at 16h00ish and had a smooth flight back to Riet, with a few runway inspections again at Eagle
Altogether a nice day out the office.
