I was fortunate enough to accompany Steve Onions (an instructor) in a 3 axis Microlight. Don't ask me what make it was, as I lost all sence of short term memory during and after the flight.

I think this was mainly due to the effort I had to put into clasping my bum cheeks together to refrain from spoiling the fresh aroma in the cockpit.

Steve was putting the craft through its paces. He is a very experienced pilot, judging from his badge splattered jacket.

At touch down my smile stretched around my head. I had to hold the top of it to prevent it from detatching.
Loanshark then took me to another airfield not far away, where his trike is parked in a hangar. Unfortunately we had a typical East London wind that kept us on the ground. Cool stuff! Exploding parachute goodies and all! Had an informal mini ground course in how to fly without poohing in your rods. Thanx Bryan!!
Loanshark has all the details regarding the model of plane and airfield names. I guess all of you experienced pilots started off similarly. Wish me luck!!!

Now that I know what I'm in for, I can't wait to get started.
