WANTED: CLEAN SCANTS...

A huge 'thank you' to Loanshark for taking me to a local airfield in East London this weekend to introduce me to Microlights! :D
I was fortunate enough to accompany Steve Onions (an instructor) in a 3 axis Microlight. Don't ask me what make it was, as I lost all sence of short term memory during and after the flight. #-0
I think this was mainly due to the effort I had to put into clasping my bum cheeks together to refrain from spoiling the fresh aroma in the cockpit. :(>
Steve was putting the craft through its paces. He is a very experienced pilot, judging from his badge splattered jacket. =D* At first glance I thought he's a hell's angels biker that lost his way. Didn't enjoy his sence of humour just before takeoff though..."Mmm, interesting...first time I'm flying one of these...sheez...short runway hey...." (this was the 40 odd metre strip that led to the proper runway) :shock: Thanx Steve! Exillirating stuff!
At touch down my smile stretched around my head. I had to hold the top of it to prevent it from detatching.
Loanshark then took me to another airfield not far away, where his trike is parked in a hangar. Unfortunately we had a typical East London wind that kept us on the ground. Cool stuff! Exploding parachute goodies and all! Had an informal mini ground course in how to fly without poohing in your rods. Thanx Bryan!!
Loanshark has all the details regarding the model of plane and airfield names. I guess all of you experienced pilots started off similarly. Wish me luck!!! :!:
Now that I know what I'm in for, I can't wait to get started.

Hey, Morpheus. How do you get your avatar to move around like a video clip? I want to upgrade my avatar in accordance with my progress. Any suggestions?

Lots of sites on the web, search for FREE AVATARS, or Funny Avatars etc. on Google or some other search engine, thousands to download.

fruidman go to http://www.animationlibrary.com/a-l/ and you can get yourself an animated avatar - quite a few aeries there as well.

Just make sure it is within the size paramaters for the forum, the site tells you their size by pixel and byte for each one. :D
Or draw your own gif in a programme like RAVE

Hey Fruidman, You forgot the part where you where chased down the runway by an aeroplane at 100km/h....... :D

The aircraft on display was the Savannah all built here locally by a gentleman that goes by the name of John waterson (there is a writeup about him in the latest Misasa publication)

The 2 a/c where operating out of John's private strip (Robersvale - 124.8)

fruidman, welcome to the wonderful world of flying and to this slightly mad bunch on this forum. I found the information available here most intersting and valuable and you also get to meet a great bunch of aviators.
