Sort of like 'Mid-Air Collision over Cape Town Imminent" saga.... that there are technicalities that need to be addressed is fact but surely there are ways of resolving that.

JB is 100% correct.

It all falls in line with the cANCer's policy of only having jobs for pals..."Cadre's" as they are called. They would rather leave a position vacant than give it to anything resembling a white man....same story in every single dept and branch of government.

In the next election....new "cadres" will be deployed....got nothing to do with putting the correct people in position and everything to do with their buddy system of entitlement and weath creation for the elite at tax payers (yip that's 99% us) expense.

The whole world imposed sanctions on the corrupt Nat Government, they brought about a change that had to happen. However, what we have today is far worse than anything the Nats ever did in my opinion. Have you ever asked yourself why the "western" world does nothing to solve the problem here? We have blatant rascist policies, far more complex than anything the Nat's imposed....yet we have no sanctions, no public outcry overseas...nada. The reason is because the west wants a corrupt African continent....much easier to do "business" with thses guys.

Please dont expect anything to change anytime soon....just look north up the continent and you will see where GA is heading. We can all come together and sing cumbayah all we want, if there is no political will to change, there is really nothing much that we can do about it. People have been saying SA has "got 5 years left" since the 60's.....I think we have finally reached that point... sorry, I know I'm going off on a tangeant, but it is relevant.

Who know's? I'm here for the long haul regardless what happens....

MEDIA STATEMENT 15 November 2012

LEGALITY OF LICENSES AND OTHER OPERATIONAL TRANSACTIONS
ISSUED AND/OR MADE BY THE SACAA

Midrand – The South African Civil Aviation Authority is a government agency tasked
with regulating the civil aviation industry in this country. According to the Civil Aviation
Act No. 13 of 2009 which came into effect in March 2010, certain powers, functions and
duties are entrusted to the SACAA. The area of responsibility of the SACAA, amongst
others, is primarily in relation to civil aviation safety and security. In terms of the Act,
the duty to appoint the head of the regulator resides with the Minister of Transport.
The SACAA was previously and is currently under the leadership of an officially
appointed Acting Director as dictated by the Act and as far as we are aware, all
business conducted by the current and previous Acting Directors was done so on the
strength of such appointments and is, therefore, legal. It is for this reason that we
dispute claims that imply or question the validity of the licences issued by the SACAA
from January 2012 until 29 October 2012. The SACAA, therefore, confirms that all
aviation personnel licences that were issued during this period and currently in
circulation are valid based on the fact they have been issued and approved by a
lawfully appointed acting Director of Civil Aviation.
Aviation safety and security remains the priority of the regulator and we will continue to
carry out this mandate with the dignity and integrity that is required.
So now that puts paid to that and thus just as well cause it then also affirms the "legal status" of RAASA is as well.

Some may propagate having pilot's interests at heart, but sure have an extremely funny way of doing it!
