30 people on 13 th October during a 22 hour rescue operation . Miroshga, a Hout Bay charter boat, capsized off Duiker Island and left crew and passengers in the icy Atlantic. Donors like you, help to equip us to get to these stricken people quickly and save their lives. You are a lifesaver .

NSRI is manned by 980 volunteers at 32 coastal bases and 3 inland bases.

Donations, bequests and sponsorships cover the R25m operational expenses of the organization.

The volunteers save NSRI a salary bill of R250m per annum.

NSRI began in 1967 and this year celebrates 44 years of selfless service - at no charge to the public.

Our assests include 92 rescue boats of various sizes and 27 4x4 rescue vehicles
