The only Mag posted to members this tear was the Tedderfield issue earlier on in the year. The Spring issue, finalised and printed is waiting for distribution due to the shambles we have been given as a "Database" for Misasa's membership. This is on hold as far as I know, although it is avalable on line on the Misasa website.

The Fundi system of central payment/registration is just not good enough in it's current format. The on line fields where you are supposed to enter your details are not mandatory? WHY??? This leads to missing/false info being entered onto the database. Payments are also not captured... especially if you pay by EFT instead of a CC.

but...life's just fine and dandy and we have no need to worry is the answer we constantly get from Hanger 50...

A lot of things will be discussed in depth between AeCSA and Misasa at the upcomming AGM (Theirs) and we will hopefully have a better way forward after those discussions.

But, to answer you all, you have not recieved a Mag because they have not been sent yet.

The mags are sitting on my garage floor on a pallet. They await an address list. We handed over our financial management to the Aero Club after much deliberation and many concerns about their Fundi System. The biggest problem with the Fundi System and the Aero Club executive management for that matter is that they simply do not see that it is "broken."

We have the solution: It is going to create confusion for a few but we hope to limit the confusion as much as possible. MISASA is not going to use the Fundi system from the end of this year. We are to employ our own clerical staff who understand that they have a clerical job to do. The Aero Club simply do not understand this basic essential - ie you actually have to do more than just go to work.

MISASA is by far the largest section of the Aero Club and if the members do not want their needs ignored then they need to go to the Aero Club AGM. It is a very simple fact that our members contribute some R300,000 plus to the Aero Club and if you know what we get for it - please let us know. We have asked for the membership list to BE maintained and for our funds to be managed. Our membership database is a mess and RAASA has been working on it for some time - when it is fixed the mags will be posted.

SEE THE MISASA AGM MINUTES ( they are posted on the MISASA website and on the MISASA thread on this forum) AND PLEASE DO COME TO THE AERO CLUB AGM AND DEMAND VALUE FOR YOUR MONEY.
