Your TOP 5 Youtube Flying Videos!

Postby John.com » Thu Aug 30, 2012 11:51 am

I thought this might be a nice way of sharing some good stuff that's out there!

No crashes please! ## Let's keep it positive and motivational! (^^)

So give us the links and post a one-liner as to why it's a great vid to watch!

Here goes with mine . . . .

1. Speed Flying from the Mont Blanc with beautiful Mountain Scenerie http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KYHh6VW_8Nc - Magnificent footage of speed flying parachutes though the valleys of Mont Blanc, French Alps.

2. Most beautiful approach into San Francisco! (Cockpit A340) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9x9yRsr1n0k - there are many such videos but if you haven't ever landed at SFO over the water, this is your chance!

3. HARRISON FORD: Just Another Pilot http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QsgiEubacT0 - this speaks right to the heart of why we fly!

4. Dancing with a plane! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h7TugC-7 ... plpp_video - this is INSANE!!! Pilatus PC6 Porter freefalling with a parachutist!!

5. Pilatus PC-12 approach at Elk River Club jetport on August 20, 2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWJXgZ0_ ... plpp_video - Only because this is the top of my flying goals list!! I think somewhere in the comments is states that the pilot is around 20 years old!

(I have SOOOO many more, but will post some other time!)

Who's next? (^^)

Here's another one (ok, so two) of mine . . .
Airbus A320 landing at Paro Bhutan Airport . . . . you've gotta watch these!! (^^)

Approach from the Cockpit http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YsZqN-uEgQU (if you are tight on time start to watch at 4:20)

Approach from the Ground http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77awaQQNQ1A

Paro Bhutan Airport (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paro_Airport): Paro Airport (IATA: PBH, ICAO: VQPR) is the only international airport of Bhutan. The airport is located 6 km (3.7 mi) from Paro in a deep valley on the bank of the river Paro Chhu at an elevation of 7,300 ft (2,200 m). With surrounding peaks as high as 18,000 ft (5,500 m) it is considered one of the world's most challenging airports, and as of October 2009, only eight pilots in the world are certified to land at the airport. Flights at Paro are allowed under visual meteorological conditions only and are restricted to daylight hours from sunrise to sunset.

MiG29 and SU27 Fighter Jets Flying in Formation!

OK, so not quite in our airspeed category but well worth a watch!

Flying THIS close, considering the effects of 'jet-wash', is quite something! (^^)

Boyz, Boyz, Boyz! And any Girlz!

If you've ever had the privilege of flying into San Francisco you'll understand what an incredible approach this is, from flying over the Golden Gates Bridge, to the over-water landing on 28L/R!

This HAS to be one of the best HD flying videos I have seen in a whle . . . . Lufthansa A380 landing at KSFO!! Take a watch . . . . . well worth the 14:26mins! (^^)

Hats off to http://www.PilotsEye.tv! "One Cockpit, Two Pilots, Six Cameras"
