Ek het verlede week my trike gekoop, dit is a mainair blade 582.

My Tallula-Belle is net baie mooier as sy Tank! puff puff. Wys my joune dan wys ek jou myne.

Hi ZS-Nel Jy dink Hoender fillets is erg.

Some serious stuff again guys. MariusD wrote about a his new trike and like me he also just started with his training. Best of luck to him and I hope he enjoys every moment on his new trike. This however poses a question for me and I would like to hear your opinion.

It’s the age old question I suppose: What is the best….?
1. Buying a trike while still in the process of learning? (Before Solo)
2. Buying a trike after obtaining a license or at least after your first Solo?

Personally I like option 2.
Having my own aircraft while still in training means I am responsible for all cost including hangerige, maintenance, etc. My instruction fees stay the same whether I’m in a “borrowed” aircraft or not. I have to pay for fuel whether in my own aircraft or the “borrowed” one. Added enjin\frame hours are for my account etc.

With this in mind, shouldn’t you rather do your training with a “borrowed” aircraft from the flight school? Leave the hangerige, maintenance and added enjin hours to them. :shock:In the meanwhile be on the lookout and ask questions about different aircrafts. If the opportunity comes your way take a flip with someone on a different make and model. ^

Do you really save by flying and learning on your own trike :?: And if you do save money chances are that you end up with a aircraft that is not really suited for you. And the whole process of selling and buying starts all over again. :x
We know that there is plenty of trikes and models on the market. Average cost range from R 30 000.00 to R 130 000.00. It is definitely a buyers market out there and patience might just be the answer.

I don’t know. Depending on your response I’ll decide (^^)
