This photo was titled "Final approach to Kosarek International Airstrip in Papua’s Eastern Highlands" :shock: :shock:

Although I guess most MPL PICs wouldn't bat an eyelid!! :lol:

PNG is not excactly first world, maybe not even third world.

As they say over here, it's out in the "wop-wops".

Kiwi pilots with big b**s are often head hunted to go fly over there, some never return.

I think that "Head-Hunting" in PNG has a different meaning! Another good reason to wear a helmet?

I have a friend who headed up the MAF operation there. Most of the strips are like that, but aircraft save days of walking, often with just a 20min flight. Most places are inaccessable any other way.
