GPS 195 Map Update!!

Does anyone know how I can update my 195 gps, not sure if this unit came with a USB kind of cable
The unit has a "card slot" on the side but I also dont have a card for it.

Hi there,
I also have a GPS 195 and have tried to upgrade it but accordingly to Garmin, there is no upgrade available.
That was to end of the line for GPS 195, to upgrade they surgest that I buy a new model. But my 195 is stil working 100%.

Search online, quite painless.

U can update the maps, have done mine end of last year, just neet cable connection from usb to the serial connctor, buy it anywhere. and while updating i conncted the gps to a battery or u can put batteries in. took the long way.

Where did you go to update the maps.
I tried but ended up with nothing updated.

Qpen a profile and register the gps on this site

Remember this is to update the aviation map - not the gps firmware

After opening theirs a link on the right side : Database price & cycles

CLICK ON THAT LINK - IT WILL OPEN THE LIST AND U CAN CHOSE - PRICES IS ON THE RIGHT SIDE.

Had no problem paying and downloading.
