Banner plane....

When last did you guys see a Banner Plane???
I was pleasantly surprised to see one over PTA east yesterday morning...didnt think they did this kind of advertising anymore.. Beats the crap out of watching ad's on TV! :lol:

Was far away but looked like a all yellow Piper cub? (!!)

There is one that flies regularly at Jeffreys Bay advertising a local open air restuarant. Piper from Paradise landing strip

Lately there has been one that flies over fourways/lonehill/midrand area in the mornings... can never really catch what the banner says as its always in the distance but i will bet the pilots having a jol, ...... vhpy vhpy

He needs to fly lower at about 100 ft AGL so we can read it. (**) (**) (**) ok just joking.

I have also seen it often and it is difficult to read even when its close. Has been advertising the www.carfind.co.za website.

Yellow cubby i think.

One flew over Randburg this morning towing a red banner, .. couldnt catch the words ! it seems that they are using them quite often... wonder what the cost would be for that type of advertising ?

The price for the banner is between 10 and 15 grand before flips.

Very effective. The local Mercedes dealer used them to launch a new car and in a platteland dorpie did over 30 demos that Saturday.
