Non Aviation...Tour de France...Respect!

Postby Bundy » Tue Mar 06, 2012 2:04 pm

I am not a cyclist...dont even own a bicycle, but I have always watched the Tour de France for some reason. I have a mate who is doing the PnP Cape Argus this year and he sent me this diagram... The Cape Argus elevation profile is the thin black section at the bottom....look at one of the mountain stages of the Tour!!

Holy Crap! (**) Toughest race in the world? Evidence certainly suggests so.

No wonder every second cyclist seems to be getting busted for doping ## I dont think I could finish that stage in my Aquilla let alone a bicycle!

Hmmmm, after only 3 training rides I am not so worried about the Argus on Sunday anymore. Piece of piss by comparison

Those guys are all on vitamin S for sure.

Its not too late Bundy, I can loan you a bike (**)

About four years ago after finishing I was handing my bike in at the transport trailers with sore legs and butt and i swore that was the last. Four hrs in the trike and you are relaxed and smiling. Its a no brainer.

I actually hate cycling but we have to do something at my age to keep the gut from getting out of hand otherwise we all end up looking like Dish (ok ok just joking my Boooi)

So number 9 on Sunday. Will hang up my Argus shoes after 10.
