Crazy Horse question

Postby Africa » Fri Nov 25, 2011 12:10 am

Does anyone have any experience moving a Horse from the USA to South Africa?? I am wanting to bring 2 of my horses and 2 dogs with me but I cannot for the love of God find anyone who can give me good honest answers? I have googled everything and all I get is negative responses about the 30 day quarentine in SA. Surely our vets are top notch? If anyone knows someone or anything about this I would love to make contact with them. I am having sleepless nights worring about having to leave my pets. Thanks Jamie.
plz PM me and I will call direct.

it will be 2 geldings, 5 year olds. one American mustang and the other an American Quarter horse both registered with papers.

I was going to suggest vacuum packing, but my wife k***ed all over me and suggested you could try James White at "Steed Equine Express" info@steedequine.co.za .He will "Import and export your horse around the world. Provide effective, low cost, stable to stable service..."

I agree - probably better than my suggestion.

Vacuum bags are for biltong, blister wrap is for perishables. Cling wrap is the required choice to prevent the bastards stealing your horse.
