Whats up in microlighting??? Zebula invite from thatch

Hi all,

179 hour pilot here, not too fond of wind, but will fly in it if there is no other choice! I worked out a plan from Aeroden to zebula and for my Trike and I am sure other 503's we need about 88 minutes to get to zebula via TC's place!

Unless someone else knows a better way! Madman... I will see u at Xwinds early tomorrow!!

Well, I am all packed and ready to go, been sitting on the Trike since 5:30 am at the threshold of 20 here at Koop! 1 problem.... Mist so thick I cannot see my hand in front of my face!

No wind.... Pressure at 1021 and mist... What has the weather Gods got against me?

Well I will wait it out a little longer!

Hey hey it's flyday!

Managed to take off at 8 am in less than ideal circumstances... Climbed to 7000ft and QNH was sweet at 1021!

Had a good tailwind to crosswinds, sat at 50mph hands off at 5250 rpm. Got a bit bumpy coming up to randfontein, but I was not turning back... Eventually, crosswinds in sight, joined overhead for right downwind on 25...

Stopped and was met by Trevor Davies who kindly directed me to Madmans Hangar where my Trike will spend the day before flying out to Aeroden this pm! Weather is looking better and better!
