SLING 4 around the world

I picked up in volksblad today Tuesday August 30, 2011 of two gentleman which stopped over in Hawai for two days of recovering on their trip around the world with a SLING 4 microlight aircraft en route to RSA. Apparently the took off from an airfield south of Johannesburg ant thus far NO MECHANICAL problems only The different countries are hessitant for giving authority for using airspace due to the fact that it is a microlight aircraft.
I am Wondering when will the next attempt be launched with a Gyro on this epic trip.
Can anybody confirm this news flash and who the pilots are.
I think it is excellent for the Recreational part of aviation.
