Microlighters beware of fraudsters and scam artists

In a long search for a decent price on a GPS unit I came across the 2 web sites below with unbelievable prices for various GPS units. Alarm bells started ringing when following up and getting in touch with the details given, one in East London and one in Pietermaritzburg. Very exited I went to the address in EL and a mate went again on a seperate occasion today - it is a normal dwelling with no one answering the door bell. The one in Pietermaritburg I had a good mate who lives there go and check on the address - turns out to be an alley (scam Alley) between two businesses - upon enquiry at the next shop my friend was warned that they are scam artists, that he had someone who was very p-off looking for them who had just paid R10k for goods and could not find them at all. It seems to be a group of central african nationals whos country starts with Nig..... who ask for a 50% deposit on order and balance on delivery system - only you will not get the item ordered or be able to trace the sellers.

They respond promptly via email with no particular details. When calling I spoke to a Gail who was both in EL and in Pietermaritzburg only 5 minutes apart. The old saying "if it is too good to be true, then IT IS!!" holds true here. Please guys watch out for these BAAS TEDS.

Phone them and they are keen to sell the units even telling you that they are sold out and getting new stock in a couple of weeks but if you place an order immediately you will get you unit in 3 days time - go figure????
