I have paid my membership fees to Aeroclub and have received correspondance from them but it seems like when we pay to Aeroclub, the MISASA part is not transfered to them
:(

Should I just send proof of payment that was made to Aeroclub also to MISASA?

Hi John,

I have payed all my fees over to Aero club (and SAPFA) as well the beginning of the year but still haven't received anything. Do you know whom I must contact or must I just phone Raasa/Aeroclub?

One more thing, guess I am not going to get a copy of Microflight Africa Easter Edition if I am not a member of Misasa?

Regards
Jaco

Received my copy of the mag & DVD. Both great. Thanks Alan (^^)

Just a query: I paid MISASA fees & Aero Club fees to Aero Club, as I got an invoice from them & an email address to send proof of payment.
I also used MISASA website to send proof of payment on MISASA's side. How do I know you guys have got me listed as a paid up member?
Maybe MISASA should send confirmation receipts or something to acknowledge payment & membership.
Last time my only proof of payment was the magazines. The Aero Club membership card arrived months later (**)

Well done again on the mag & DVD (^^)

Hi,

RE - AM I A MEMBER - WHEN WILL I BE POSTED A RECEIPT ETC

The committee is meeting tomorrow - Friday - evening at 17h30 - at Panorama. Join us for the meeting and or for a braai and hangar talk after the meeting.

Anyone who would like to create receipts, lick and stick envelopes, oh and find a post office with about R10,000 worth of stamps would be most welcome. It always amazes me how many Post Offices one has to go to to get the needed stamps and or prepaid envelopes.

Alternatively, please go to http://www.misasa.co.za and look in the side panel for the heading re Membership lists. The direct link is: http://www.weboonline.com/MISASA/websit ... php?id=448

Here you will be able to see the expiry date of your membership. You can pay MISASA and or the Aero Club. If you pay the Aero Club please expect delays. I paid them on 14 December and after chatting to the GM was assured that my Aero Club card would be posted this week. Anyway I am genuinely not concerned as I am on record as wondering what you need it for? Do not interpret this as saying that they do nothing for us but I do not understand why one needs this card? It is extra expense that could be saved and one could request one if you fly to a foreign country.

Please remember that we need your stories - my knees are a tad worn out so it would be great if you e-mailed a photo and a paragraph to nemo@webo.co.za

You will see that the mag has a few places where the spaces between words has been left out - We moved to a high quality print and so each line in each row had to be converted to a picture. Once done you cannot edit these pictures - so I did the edit 1st - then handed it our (sic?") for production and conversion thinking that another round of checking was not necessary - anyway lesson learnt. This is also the last edition that will offer larger print. I have been calling for comment since receiving the complaint from Chris Badenhorst but have had no feedback so the layout will be the same as used in the Chairmans Report. We issue 4 mags a year but I gave up on trying to get content in Dec/Jan/Feb years ago so the 1st one in the year tends to be late. This means that we are now behind on the next one - you guessed - so far zero content - so why not amaze me and send in a story!

A huge thank you to those that have posted a comment on the mag - it's the 1st time in about 6 years that comment has been posted here - and - yes, another DVD will be produced if we get footage. Send yours to Nemo, P O Box 746, Cramerview 2060

Fly safe

Hi Alan

I paid my fees direct to MISASA, but on following your link above to check my membership expiry I see it as 31 Dec 2010.

No need to send out a receipt, just an email notification to acknowledge that payment has been received by MISASA.

If no email from MISASA, at least a person could query after a few days about their membership status.

Please note that you should still receive a copy of the magazine David, as it was decided to send to the memberlist of 2010 as well!

Hi Coastwise,

I do the mag - the Treasurer is Brett Hickman. Unfortunately Brett has a day job and so reconciling etc needs to be kept to a minimum. We update the membership list on a quarterly basis and this details who is on the membership list and when the membership expires. Over 300 members have no e-mail address. If you have paid since 1 Jan 2011 then you need to contact the Treasurer. Contact him on 0839941910

Fly safe.

Got my mag yesterday - very well done to all who contributed (^^)

I also know that a magazine of this quality does not just happen, so to all the contributors with your interesting stories / articles well done and thank you, to all the behind the scenes people who put it together, bearing in mind that this is all voluntary work a big thank you.

My understanding is that the biggest challenge in maintaining a magazine as interesting as this one, is to get articles for the magazine, so I challenge all of you, and I include the Empangeni guys, lets support the magazine with articles so that we can make this a sustainable mag which we as MISASA members can be proud off. s024
