Aircraft scrap

Postby Biggles » Sun Feb 06, 2011 7:36 pm

I am looking for a boneyard or scrap place that has bits of aircraft or if someone has a damaged wing section.

After taking 6 months to convince the missus that I should be able to have an aviation bar she has finally agreed. But I was thinking of some pictures and a model or two, maybe an old wood prop or two... but now I have been tasked to find an aluminium tail section/ fan blade assembly and "70's airline lounge furniture".

For an idea...

So anyone have the fan blade assembly of a 737 in thier hangar?

I am not very hopeful, I suspect that aluminium scrap is worth more than copper...

You can try Republic Aircraft Parts @ Wonderboom in Pretoria, they do recoveries.
Do'nt have a number though. Also the EAA & Aircraft Homebuilders Assosiation, search
their webbsites from the Aeroclub site.
And, if no one else can help, and you can find them, YOU can hire - The A Team
