WTF! Idi Amin all over again......Johannesburg - Four top managers have been appointed to the South Africa Police Service, a spokesperson for national police commissioner General Bheki Cele said on Friday.
Major General Nonkululeko Mbatha said Lieutenant General Leah Mofomme, 44, was appointed as the deputy national commissioner of physical resources management and Lieutenant General Godfrey Lebeya, 49, as the deputy national commissioner of crime detection.
Major General Elias Mawela,44, was appointed as the divisional commissioner of the operational response services division and Major General Nkruman Mazibuko, 52, was appointed as the divisional commissioner of the personnel management division.
"Their appointments become effective on February 1 2011," she said.
Mofomme has been a senior manager in the police since 2001.
Lebeya was employed in the police detective service and has been admitted as an advocate of the High Court of South Africa.
Mawela served at various police stations in Gauteng and as deputy area commissioner of Pretoria until 2004.
Mazibuko, 52, would take over from Mofomme on her appointment as deputy national commissioner.
