Ooh flashy flashy, soon it's going to be chromed mirrors, wheel spats and fuel cap. :D

As an aside, why did you not go for the aluminium covering for the exhaust?

Today probably had the best x-wind landing ever. See the picture - I could not crab in, I flew at 90 degrees and turned at the last second. Andries was sitting in his lounge watching me, and tells me I was "up and down" before landing, but I did not notice that bit. Once on the strip, I almost got flipped taxing. Putting the wing to the wind and the wing got stuck on the ground, had to get out and hold on for dear life, then pushed the wing to about 1m from ground, got into trike and hang on to A-frame not allowing the wing to drop, then taxied for a couple of meters before wind got the better of me, flipped magnetos and repeated the procedure. Jeez, never knew taxing could be more frightening than flying or landing!

The Rotax course is well worth it. Niren could not pinpoint my ref counter problem, but has asked my AP to contact him, will sort it out. My Rotax was used as a demo for the course, and Niren fine tuned it. However, he was amazed at the rough idling, and others at the course confirmed they had same problem - anyone else at sea level have this problem?

Intersting about the rough idling, its not uncommen here at the coast.

Had to fly this morning since I am going to go to Europe (to carry my wife's shopping) for two weeks and will only be back at end of month. Hopefully the southeaster would be gone by then.
