Saldanha breakfast Fly-in tomorrow

Postby Grote » Fri Nov 05, 2010 9:15 am

Members and friends,Saldanha Flying Club will host a breakfast fly-in on Saturday morning(Tomorrow). We also have ATC's from Langebaanweg operating our tower from 07.30 hrs so that the pilots can get some controlled airspace experience. Please fly in early or drive in early for a briefing at 7.00hrs by the ATC. Lets see if country pilots can operate under ATC command. See you all here, rgds,Anton Tallie

Yes , it was a great success , alll the pilots enjoyed it and we learned a lot . Allso the ATC`s had something to experience . Well they are real friendly people . We might try to do this on a 2 or 3 monthly basis . Hope to see you next time .

Guaranteed - next time for sure!
I would also love to bring some students along. Students are usually terrified of ATC's. Would be good for them to meet some of them in person and understand what they are about.

Please give us some advance warning and we will come up for sure Anton

Thanks

Len

Len , it`s a great idea to bring students with . I saw what it meant to interact with the ATC`s .Maybe we are starting a thing here that can work and do a lot to safety in the air . We are so getting used to do our own thing that we forget the real thing .
