Hi Balstring and welcome.
For that amount you will get a good Windlass 503. Be sure to shop around cos you can get them for much less too. Go for dual ignition, Lots of instruments and a radio.
There seems to be a lot of planes at decent prices going around.
Good luck and happy hunting.

With current glut of trikes on market i think you can do much better
Cash is KING, make an offer - dont settle for anything less than an Aqulla with a 582. but have someone who knows best check it out first
Of course for a 'slight' increase you could always buy my Gemini

Hi balstring, welcome.
For that kind of money you should be able to buy a Windlass that is about in a brand new condition with a 503 motor.
If I say low hours on the airframe and motor I mean close to 100 to 200 hours with a lot of basic extras, instruments, headsets and radio.
Else you should get hold of an Aquilla with a 582 motor with a bit more mileage. Ether way, don’t just buy the first tryke you see. There is some really low value, maintenance starved trykes out there.
You can even phone Aden at Solo Wings to assist you.

Ditto, a good used 582 Aquilla for R60K, where? Typically the ones I have seen range in the R80-120K mark. When you do get em LOW in that range they are well over the 300Hrs mark, which begs for a crank inspection/overhaul.Cali wrote:Junkie:

Where???
