help in Jeffreys Bay

Postby lamercyfly » Fri Mar 19, 2010 4:34 pm

Hi folk.

Urgently need to get in touch with some-one operating out of Paradise Airfield, Jeffreys Bay.

I have a student flying down the coast to Cape Town, and he needs to stop over in J. Bay for Sunday night.

He is travelling with a mate of his, and they will stay over in J.Bay for Sunday and Monday, leaving on Tuesday morning for Knysna.

Need reasonable B&B, and maybe they will hire a car in J.Bay for Monday, or they will just hang around town........ whatever, they're on holiday:)

I have a number for 'slabfish' (Clem), but he is not answering(most probably out at sea fishing) Number I have for Clem is 082 654 0500.

Does not have to be a pilot. Can be any one living in J.by. Aircraft can be tied down between hangars. They really just need a ride into town to get sorted, and then a ride back to the airfield again on Tuesday morning real early.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks and cheers.

Missed this one - but for future reference there is a B&B called the Lancaster within walking distance of the field.

Shot guys, but we came right. Pilot has already left J.Bay and is in Knysna at Warren's spot, and is most probably leaving tomorrow to start working his way back to Durban..

Cheers.

Yeah, looks like Sam will have to spend today, tomorrow and Saturday in J.Bay only leaving Sunday morning. Whole flight has been planned around coastal winds..

Plenty thanks to you and Dave in Port Alfred and Warren in Knysna. Comaradie is still alive and kicking despite beaurocracy trying it's damndest to quell it:)

Cheers and you be sure to look me up when you visit KZN....

Regards.

Make sure when they return that the stay well clear of St Francis. The okes (non flyers) are up in arms there again as a group of micro or gyros past them just the other day and have apparently caused mayhem for the airfield owner assoc.

I also read the piece on the other 'aviation mudfarm' about St Francis........ (**) (**) .
If you are flying legal height and not over built up area, then as far as I'm concerned they can all take a hike !! ## ##

I agree Grumpy, Paradise airfield is a nicer airfield and crowd anyways. So who needs St Francis ## ##
