Gyro charging problem

Postby zu ebl » Sun Dec 13, 2009 9:27 am

I'm on holiday in P.E., I transported my gyro down, Friday I fitted a new battery before we left,(Saturday
on my way back from Kitty Hawk, the battery ran flat (charge light off)
Yesterday after offloading I discovered that the charge light stays on,I've checked the wiring and
the 2 x wires from the engine was hot. :( (**)
I'm looking for a person in this area that could help me with the problem. I will del. the gyro to him.
Please any help will be appreciated. vhpy vhpy

Re: PLEASE HELP - Gyro charging problem

Hi Willie

My charge light came on and the battery did not charge.

The problem was one of the wires on the rectifiyer. This is a silver square box with a a plug with wires from the bottom.
Unplug this plug and make sure that each of the wires is connected properly.

I have also added a thick earth wire from rectifiyer base to battery negative.

These wires could have rattled out with transportation.

I hope you get it sorted out.
