So now what is this "SSDR MAINAIR DEMON TRI-FLYER " ???

http://www.bmaa.org/classified.asp?t_DA ... ertID=6679

This is the description that is there:-
"Beautiful little machine with Robin 330 engine and two blade wooden prop. Built in 1982 it has spent most of its life in a heated garage, the engine and trike having done only 65 hours from new. Always starts well and runs like a little sewing machine. The wing has a few more hours and has been used as a hang glider but is in very good condition. This is just for pure fun, top speed is 40mph and the so called stall is 20mph. The engine burns less than 5 litres an hour. Comes with wing bag, a very good road trailer and spare prop and basic instruments. I last flew it last week but am now buying a Blade so it regretably has to go."

Demon,

Was at 11 holding point and enjoyed the low level over Kroon on Friday (^^) (^^)

However, you should have landed and given us an opportunity to see her up close. She really looks great

Enjoy and happy landings........and takeoffs (-) (-)

Demon and all other Pilot's that would like to visit Kroon sometime,

The reason we now use 124.8 is for safety, ie. we are marked as inside FAD129, due to the circuit we fly being to the north of the N4, and have a lot of bliks and heli's that fly low through the circuit and by using 123.45 it was an incident waiting to happen. (**) (**)

I must say we miss using 'chat' as 'platteland' can often be extremely busy resulting in very little being said..... if you lucky on some days maybe just one call per circuit so keep a vigilent VFR when close.

Happy landings........

demon i tend to agree, kroon is below the TMA and should be 125.8, although it is one of those border cases / no man`s land switching between 124.80 <--> 125.80 :? 124.8 it will be!

Hi IceAge vhpy Gaan dit goed ?

(Not wishing to hi-jack Demon's thread. I am sure your club had reason for choosing 124.80)... but

AP and Aeroden ar 2 NM outside the TMA (124.80).

Kroon however is 3 NM inside the TMA (125.80) and in line of inbound traffic from the west to Wonderboom. Last mentioned would already be on 125.80 for joining overhead Rosslyn Station for Wonderboom.

Question: Is it not more advisable for Kroon to stay within the map frequency of 125.80 ?

Just asking ?
Cheers, Roel vhpy

According to the latest chart, the N4 is the border between Special Rules West and FAD29. As we are approx 300 meters South of the N4 (not 3NM) our circuit cross the border. The landing strip is in SRW and our circuit in FAD29. So technically on take off you will be on 125.8 and as soon as you turn Crosswind, you have to change to 124.8 and then back to 125.8 at Base leg.

For this reason they have decided to place us in the FAD29 and therfore 124.8.
