Morningstar Hospitality

Postby Shaun74 » Sat Aug 01, 2009 4:08 pm

I spent the day visiting the guys at Morningstar today. I could not believe that there still are people like these in our country. All we always hear of is the hatered and death in our country. It was the greatest experience ever. I met so many people that just invited me into their hangars from the moment i got out of my car. A warm cup of coffee was handed to me on a really coolish morning which was trully appreciated. Moments later i was invited to take a flip with a gentleman that i had only just met. We had a great flight to Malmesbury and back. We landed and met a few guys who i had spoken to often on the forum. It was great to put a face to these true gentleman. Morph took the time give me as much info about Starting my MPL as i could take in and it was a blast to meet BOET. Moral of the story is that if you an aspiring pilot or just a true Aviation enthusiast there in my opinion is no better place to meet some wonderful people who seem to really go out of their way to make you feel at home and try to help you in which ever way they can.

It has has helped cement my decision to start my MPL and now feel more than ever the sky will be a much safer place because of these people who will do anything to help in any situation.

To everyone at Morninstar thanks for a great experience.

I detect a hint, just a hint, of jealousy here.   8)

We are not like that, Morningstar is an airfield, by pilots, for pilots, and all who are interested in aviation. Welcome anytime, as long as it is on the weekend when we are there

Sorry Mike.

Hospitality at Goedverwacht is great just on a smaller scale. Thanks for everything that you have done for me to.
Just thought Morningstar deserved a mention because there were so many people that all wanted to help and chat all at once. A little overwelming really. Was great. Just made me realise that this hobby, Sport either draws really kind, caring people or the people involved in aviation become really kind and caring. Either way its definately the kind of people i wanna spend time with.

Thanks to all who have taken the time to help.
